Jailer Movie, is an upcoming Tamil Action Comedy Drama Movie in 2023. The production of the much-awaited Rajinikanth'169 film has also started in Chennai. Earlier the name of this movie was ,Thalaivar 169, but then the title of the film was changed and Jailer by Sun Pictures on social media. The manufacturing company revealed its title in the first poster on Friday, June 17, 2022. The film is directed by Nelson Deepak Kumar and is being produced under the banner of Sun Pictures. Superstar Rajinikanth will play the lead role in this film. In the first look poster of the film, he is seen in a new style wearing fallen hair and beard glasses, crisp Giri colored shirt and badge colored paints.

Apart from Rajinikanth and Ramya, Chandan, Shiv Rajkumar also appeared in the lead roles in the poster. There are some rumors that Aishwarya Rai will play the female lead in the film but the same has not been disclosed yet. Rajinikanth will be playing the character for the first time alongside actress Ramya Krishnan who is 40 years younger than him.

Tamil star Rajinikanth has joined hands with director Deepak Kumar for his next film Jailer. This movie has been announced a few months back, but earlier the title of the movie was given as Thalaivar 169. But its name was revealed on 17 June 2022 with its first look poster, titled Jailer. Rajinikanth shot the first scene of the film from 22 August. The film was shot in Chennai where the police station set for the first set was built. Most of the film will be shot in Chennai and Hyderabad.
